Emmanuel Kazadi
Painter & filmmaker
Kazadi is based in Los Angeles, CA.
Born in Atlanta, GA in 1995 to Congolese parents, Kazadi was early on sent to boarding school in Paris where he began developing his interest in art and cinema.
Years later, after graduating from Hofstra University with a major in Fine Arts, Kazadi embarked on a solo journey to write, produce and animate his debut short film Enzo Bleu. Upon the film's release in late 2020, he was discovered by Creative Arts Agency agent Brandon Lawrence and subsequently signed to CAA and Grandview LA. In April of 2021, Kazadi signed a development deal with NBC Universal and Seth Macfarlane's Fuzzy Door to turn Enzo Bleu into a series.
In October of 2020, Kazadi was approached by Jideofor Chikeruba, curator and exhibition designer for Aziz Gallery and Hammer Museum, to feature in his Aziz Gallery show "Made in Leimert: A Microcosm.” Kazadi produced four pieces for the show, two of which sold on opening night, including one to prolific visual artist Henry Taylor. Across all his artistic endeavors, Kazadi aims to create a distinct universe by bridging gaps between his eclectic mix of cultures and influences.
